For New Members
Fees are pro-rated in your first year on a quarterly sliding scale e.g: if you join after 30th June you pay 75% of the annual fee (£37.50). If you join after 30th September you pay 50% of annual membership fee (£25). If you join after December 31st you must pay the full fee but you will be a member for all of the following year (i.e for 15 months).
Becoming a Member for the First Time
All new members must be approved by a club coach or committee member. If you have never shot before you will need to have some coaching. The Club Coaches can provide this by arrangement.
If you do not already hold a current NFAS membership card, you can submit your NFAS application form, fees and a SAE along with your club membership application form and fees and our membership secretary will send it off to the NFAS for you
Once you are a Provisional NFAS Member and a member of the Club you can use the woods but you can only shoot under the supervision of an experienced Co60 member and you are not allowed to shoot at any open shoots at CO60 or at any other clubs.
When you think you are ready to do so, you can arrange a session with a Club Coach to be ‘signed off’’ for Full NFAS Membership. To be signed off you must fully understand the rules and etiquette of the NFAS, be safe and your shooting must be of a sufficient standard to attend an open shoot. Once signed off you may shoot freely at the club’s woods and at open shoots run by Co60 and other clubs. Before attending any other Club’s open shoots we would expect you have attended at least one open shoot at Co60. It is your responsibility to obtain a Full NFAS Membership Card from the NFAS Membership Secretary and you must also let the Club Membership Secretary know.
